The road distance between Delhi and Kanpur is roughly 450 kilometres (280 miles), depending on the route used. The amount of time it takes to travel depends on the mode of transportation, traffic conditions, and stops along the way.
By Train
There are various train choices available, including express and superfast trains that connect Delhi and Kanpur. Travelling by train might take anywhere from 5 to 7 hours, depending on the train and route.
By Air
If you’re flying, you may fly from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in Delhi to Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (LKO) in Lucknow, the nearest major airport to Kanpur. From there, take a taxi or another mode of transportation to Kanpur, which is roughly 80 kilometres (50 miles) from Lucknow.
By Road
If you want to travel by road, follow the National Highway 19 (NH19), which connects Delhi and Kanpur. The road trip usually takes 7 to 9 hours, however travel durations can vary depending on traffic and road conditions.
Keep in mind that travel times and conditions may have altered since my last knowledge update in September 2021, so I recommend confirming routes, transportation alternatives, and journey times with current sources or travel platforms.
