Patnitop is a tourist destination located in the foothills of the Shiwalik region of the Himalayas in Jammu & Kashmir. Although it is relatively unknown in comparison to other hill stations, this does not diminish the beauty of the location.
At 2,024 metres, it is a lovely plateau surrounded by deep woodland and scenic splendour. It is the ideal location to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The forested woodland provides abundant walking options across its lovely green meadows. The stroll down the kutcha road provides an opportunity for a very tranquil detachment from the fast-paced world. It provides an enthralling view of the mountains.

Mahadev Sudh:
Each year, on the full moon day in the month of “Saawan” (July August), thousands of devotees go to this temple to worship the trishul dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is well-known for its archaeology. Sudh Mahadev is a significant and well-known location in Patnitop. Other temples are Gaurikund and Peer Khoh Cave Temple.
The Temple of Naag:
Patnitop is well notable for the 600-year-old Naag (Cobra) Temple.
The six-hole golf course is well worth a visit. Pony rides along small routes, camping, and strolling are advised for less daring travellers. Patnitop also provides paragliding and skiing for those interested in risky sports.
Patnitop’s climate is nice throughout the year. Summer and winter are the best seasons to visit. Patnitop is about three hours from Jammu railway station. Private Taxis & Cars are available for hiring at the stand.
